My Cakes Are Not Made Out of Toilet Paper, Honestly.

June 9, 2010

It’s Wednesday!

I always look forward to You Know You’re a Mom When-sdaze with Arizona Mamma.  You should, by all means check her out and link up!

Let me start by saying,

  • No one is celebrating a birthday.
  • Our 7-year-old has been seven for a while now.
  • We have no graduate.(Unless you count my fifth grader graduating from elementary school or my preschooler graduating from preschool, I tend not to)
  • And we don’t generally eat toilet paper. Let me rephrase that, we don’t eat toilet paper, ever.

None of the above stopped Sam from looking for a way to celebrate.  Much like his mom, he enjoys a good party!

Proud and ready for the party!

And I think I need to bake more!

Happy Wednesday!

P.S.  For you picture people, I’ve never used noise reducing software before, but on a lark downloaded Clean Image, the top picture got scrubbed. It was shot with a pretty high ISO and had a lot of noise.  I should do a before and after and show you the difference, it was quite amazing.  I haven’t bought it yet, it’s just the free trial, but I wondered if you all use this kind of software and if so, what kind?

Another thing about that noise reducing software, the free download only takes care of a portion of the picture, depending on size. If you click on the top picture and zoom in, you can see where the noise stops and starts.

LOL we too look for the silliest reasons to celebrate. For us, that means eating out unless this mom is inspired to bake, which isn’t very often these days.

How cute! It is hard to pass up a party. I don’t know anything about noise in pictures. I have so much to learn!

Sigh. I don’t know anything about noise in pictures or editing at all. I just got Photoshop Elements, so when I get brave enough to attemp to use it I’ll be e-mailing you. Your pictures are always so rich looking…if that makes sense. By the way, I love the toilet paper cake and the expression on your son’s face. Priceless!

My kids make me have birthday parties for stuffed animals all the time! Make me think they feel deprived on their actual birthdays 😛
