Pool Snapshots

Monica at Pixel Perfect hosts a really excellent meme for those of us who like playing with our photos. I sometimes think the editing is more fun than taking the pictures. Check out her site and the other links to get some real photo editing inspiration!
Even in that icky picture below, you can tell that they adore each other.(When they aren’t trying to kill each other)
It’s in the 90s here, just to clear things up. Looks like it’s frigid, doesn’t it?
But, the way they’re looking at each other just warms me right up.
Though I wasn’t really cool, because, like I said, it’s in the 90s here. But, still….
Can’t you feel the love?
These were taken with my Nikon D5000. The lens was a Nikon 35mm f1.8. And I used Photoshop Elements for the edit.

Great job. It’s amazing how changing a couple things can transform a photo. I love it. Stop by and check out my silouette tutorial. http://weloveiowa.blogspot.com/2010/06/before-after-silouettes.html
Hey! I jumped over from Pixel Perfect.. I have been *blog stalking* all these before and after shots.. so fun! I am hoping to join in next week.. even though I am still in the beginner stage….

Oh I love this crop and the edit really makes their faces pop! Great job!
I have a love/hate relationship with these posts. I love to see what you do with your pictures, they always turn out great! But I have a crap camera, so I can’t play. 😦 Tax return is only six months away though!
I’ve got a good camera, but you could do better than the original with a disposable camera! You should download some editing software and just play!
Lula Lola, if you had to recommend just one piece of software, which would it be? Photoshop?
Great shot! The black and white captures them looking adoringly at each other. The expressions are priceless!
Capturing moments like this is what photography is about! This photo tugs on my heart strings. You did a BEAUTIFUL job on the processing. Saying I LOVE it would be an understatement. 🙂

great shot, lu! you really CAN feel the love. they’ll need this framed in the house as a constant reminder that they can get along. =) atleast that’s the kind of reminders my brother & i needed at that age.
(p.s. i love your name, cause i automatically think lu…then it reminds me that if i could still have more kids i would want a little girl named lucy. i smile everytime i see your name for that reason.)
