Macro Friday-The Frigid Edition
January 14, 2011
I love Macro Friday, but have been out of the loop for a while. Truthfully, I haven’t had many good macro shots. And I hope this one qualifies. SC has had freakish weather lately, and I took a walk and snapped a few icy shots. These were some tiny weeds poking through the ice. Here’s my attempt at macro this morning.
And here’s a couple, anxiously anticipating the thaw, no doubt. The ice and the light made these appear almost metallic to me.

Love you shots. I really like the details of the second shot.
I am so happy you are posting macros again. I had a computer crash and lost you for a while!!! Your macro is awesome.. so glad I can be a follower again!
I love the second one. Doesn’t winter make for some good up close and personal shots?
Although I’m looking forward to some up close and personal shots of sweat dripping off hot summer time faces, too! : )
Beautiful shots!! I love the bokeh in the first one. 🙂

These are stunning!
Wow! LL those are great. I have not done anything in the way of macro, but I always love the way they look.
I need a good macro lens. Heck, there are a lot of lenses I’d love to be able to invest in getting. But I’m saving for my trip!
These are absolutely gorgeous! I love the crazy details on the second one, just beautiful! Have a warm weekend! xo
Lovely shots! Look like metal work.
I really like those. Ice makes a lovely picture.
Beautiful shots, girl! Bet you don’t get these shots too often. =)
Oh my- I love those. Reminds me of the Pogonip (when the fog freezes to everything) that we get here in NV. It doesn’t happen very often as it is extremely rare for us to ever get fog in the first place- but when we do- it’s beautiful.
Very cool shots! I especially love the first one!
Wow! So beautiful and fragile!
Wonderful photos!
so cold! great macros
gorgeous! And we have had freaky weather!
Do I spy some green in there? I’m jealous! We can’t hope for any green until May!
Sooo cool…great shots!
Brrr! These are great cold shots – we’ve had freaky cold weather too (georgia) but it actually got up to 50 degrees today and I was able to take the kids to the park. Too bad the rain is coming in tomorrow!
